Contrary to the full-version, the camin mono controls only 1 motor. This motor can be selected for control of Focus, Iris or Zoom and operated using either the wireless coperate or czoom II hand units. camin mono can be upgraded at anytime to the full version camin . This makes camin mono the ideal introduction interface for wireless lens control. Contrary to the full-version, the camin mono controls only 1 motor. This makes camin mono the ideal introduction interface for wireless lens control.
In combination with the coperate mono and the necessary cables the mono set is created, which allows you the control of one motor.
As all cmotion components and sets a built up modular the system could be extended everytime to a two or three axis system. As a matter of course the camin mono provides all other functions as the standard camin (except the control of 3 axis):
- Control of the Focus/Iris/Zoom
- Automatic calibration
- Display of the camera Status C
- Control of camera
The camin mono offers a very accurate positioning system and smooth motor operation. When a lens is changed the system should be calibrated. This operation is fast and very easy to perform. It is not necessary to adjust the motor as it recognizes the end stops during each calibration automatically.
In addition to the standard lens functions the camin mono also offers Numerous Extras
- New Lens Functions
- Modular Motor Interfaces
- Lens motors from different manufacturers (Arri, Scorpio, Denz, Heden, Preston)
can be attached to the camin mono
- Soft Calibration
During calibration, the system identifies the end stops of each axis. The motor will then only operate within the exact range of movement. This simple operation ensures the physical end stops are never met with force by the LCS and therefore prevents any internal damage being caused to the lens. For further piece of mind, the torque for each motor can also be manually selected and adjusted when used together with the cdisplay .
- Electronic Motor Protection
If any error leads to a Motor position no being identified, the motor will be put into standby mode, thus preventing it from overloading.
- Upgrading
The system has been designed to allow upgradeable options including extension to additional axes.
- Camera Functions
- Modular Camera Interfaces
camin mono offers an abundance of interface possibilities that can be utilized for the controlling of camera operations including; the regulation of speed ramps through cdisplay, synchronization, or automatic camera recognition for on/off functions for an extensive range of film and video cameras. The following camera systems are all automatically recognized: Arri (435, 535, 16 SRIII) Arricam (Standard, Lite) "old" Arri with 11 pin connector (16 SR 2, BL3, 35II, BL Evo, etc.) Moviecam (Compact, LT) Aaton (Minima, 35III) Dalsa (Origin), diverse HD-Cameras, Thomson, Panasonic and Sony. More cameras will be provided on request - the range of functions of the camera control depends on the interface of the camera. The user interface is the same for all cameras.
- Single camera and lens control unit
One main advantage of the cmotion system is that you only require one compact interface unit to control both the lens and the camera.
General and additional Features
- Integration of external motors
External motorized systems can be controlled e.g. the Skatermini from P+S Technik can now be controlled through the coperate.
- Radio and cable functions
The system contains nine 2,4 GHz radio channels that are recognized worldwide. Two specialized channels allow for the simultaneous use with the transvideo radio system. The system can operate over distances up to 200 meters in the open, and 30 meters inside a confined building.
When operating in extreme conditions (e.g. under water) by plugging in the CBUS-cable, the system automatically selects its hardwired mode.
- Various power input possibilities
camin can operate from inputs ranging from 8 – 35 V supplied through a variety of sources. In the case of multiple energy sources, the system will use the best suited automatically.
- Sturdy and compact construction
camin mon o's cable sockets have all been conveniently positioned on one level to prevent any interference with the camera's original set up. The camin is also well suited for use with Steadicam, thanks to its compact structure and light weight (325g). The system's construction can be further modified at the customer's request.
- Flexible mechanical attachment
The outer casing of the camin mono has two 3/8” drill holes to allow for easy attachment to the camera or rods in various positions. The camin also offers a quick attachment option (cfast-camin) for fast assembly.
When working with Steadicam, the cfast-artemis (specific attachment tool) secures the camin to the Sachtler-Artemis mount.
- PC Interface
The camin mono is equipped with a serialized interface.
